Supporting the Food Science and Nutrition Department

The Food Science and Nutrition Department is committed to providing students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences in the fields of food science, culinology, product development, sensory science, applied nutrition, nutrition science, and dietetics. With support from alumni, friends, and industry partners, we expand Learn by Doing opportunities for students.

Your gift has the power to make a lasting impact on student success. Donations to the Food Science and Nutrition Department can be designated to several different areas. Make an investment in the future by giving to one of these priorities:

Our PRIMARY focusstudent success!

You can support students by contributing to an existing scholarship or creating a new scholarship, by supporting student travel to industry conferences and events, by sponsoring students to work in our food processing units and labs, and by giving to department-run student clubs.

Facilities and Equipment

Technology and innovation are key drivers of food and nutrition sciences. Donations to improve our facilities and acquire state-of-the-art food processing and analytical equipment are essential to training world-class food technologists, dietitians, scientists, and professionals.

Student and Faculty Research

We offer undergraduate and graduate students exceptional opportunities to conduct independent and faculty-led research. Your support of research projects and programs enables our students to learn how to collect, analyze, report, and take action to develop new food products, enhance nutritional impacts and performance, and inform healthier diets and lives.
