Kristine Martinez

I am pursing my MS in Agriculture with a specialization in food science. I completed by BS at Cal Poly in both Food Science and Nutrition, with a minor in packaging. After getting exposure to the food industry with a summer internship at Smucker's, I came back to Cal Poly, finished my undergraduate classes and stayed to pursue a master's degree. My research involves the development and application of sensory evaluation techniques on alternative nutrition food products. Dr. Lammert is my advising professor. She exudes passion for sensory and consumer sciences; her encouragement and support coupled with my passion for innovation and food confirm that I'm on the right path. I hope to graduate in June 2014 and work in industry. After gaining experience, I'd be very interested in teaching.
